Natural horse care
At Posestvo Pule, we believe in holistic, respectful care for our horses. Their diet is based on natural principles — local hay without unnecessary additives — and their hooves are maintained using natural trimming methods. We avoid chemical treatments whenever possible.
Sustainable riding trails
Our riding paths are carefully laid out across the estate to protect local plant life and the natural habitats of wildlife. Instead of artificial fencing, we’ve used natural boundaries such as stones and native shrubs to define the trails and preserve the landscape.

The entire estate has been thoughtfully restored using sustainable materials and the expertise of local artisans. From wooden beams to stonework, every element reflects our commitment to heritage and environmental responsibility.
Our renovation included close collaboration with local craftsmen — including blacksmiths, and carpenters — helping to preserve centuries-old trades tied to equestrian life and the rural way of living.
Locally Grown Food & Ingredients
We serve fresh, locally grown food, sourced from nearby farms and our own estate garden. Every meal celebrates the seasonal flavors and traditions of Dolenjska, supporting small producers and reducing food miles.
Zero Waste Approach
We’re committed to reducing waste across the estate. We prioritize natural materials, use glass containers, limit plastic products, and actively encourage reuse and recycling — both in daily operations and for all our events and guest services.
Our Sustainability Practices Include:

*Cosmetic dispensers in all guest suites (no single-use plastic)

* Minimizing food waste – especially during events, where we work with partners like Jezeršek to offer take-away containers and serve only freshly prepared meals.
