Some places stay with you long after you leave. Posestvo Pule is one of them.
My husband and I visited Posestvo Pule in September, and from the very first moment, it felt like one of those rare trips where everything simply aligns. The weather was perfect, warm enough to enjoy the outdoors, yet fresh and pleasant, without summer crowds or heat. Ideal for slowing down and truly experiencing the place.
We arrived by car, and finding the estate was effortless. The road leading to Posestvo Pule deserves a special mention. Winding through forests and open meadows, it felt like a scene straight out of a movie. You know that saying “enjoy the journey, not just the destination”? This drive embodies it perfectly.
Parking is available directly at the property, which makes arrival stress-free. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we felt welcomed by the calm and the beauty of the surroundings.
Our wooden house was ready for check-in immediately. From the moment we entered, it was clear that Posestvo Pule understands subtle luxury. The interior is beautifully designed, warm, elegant, and incredibly clean. Everything smells amazing, which instantly adds to the feeling of comfort.
The bathroom deserves its own praise. Spacious, modern, and exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality shower gel and cream that we absolutely loved. Small details make a big difference, and here, they truly matter.
One of our favorite little touches was the coffee machine, along with complimentary snacks like nuts and almonds. Sitting back with a cup of coffee after unpacking felt like home, only better.
After check-in, we spent the afternoon exploring the estate. Posestvo Pule is vast, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, with horses, gardens, and open green spaces inviting you to wander.
We relaxed in the plunge pool, letting the calm wash over us before heading to dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, perfect for unwinding after the journey. One detail we absolutely loved was the transparent glass wall between the restaurant and the horses’ resting area, allowing us to enjoy our meal while catching glimpses of their pointy ears and gentle eyes just a few steps away.
That evening, we called it an early night, and I can honestly say I had one of the best sleeps of my life. The absolute calm, the comfort of the queen-size bed, and the gentle sounds of nature created a sensation of complete relaxation that is hard to put into words.
The next morning started slowly, just the way it should. Coffee on our private patio, watching horses nearby, surrounded by nature. Moments like this remind you how little you actually need to feel content.
Breakfast was warm, freshly prepared, and tailored for us. Delicious and nourishing, it gave us the energy for the day ahead.
One thing became very clear during our stay: you won’t be bored for a second at Posestvo Pule.
We explored the village on e-bikes, an easy and enjoyable way to discover the surrounding countryside. Later, we tried air rifle shooting with targets, which was surprisingly fun and added a playful, adventurous element to our stay.
Spending time with the horses was one of the highlights. Feeding them, pampering them, and learning about their personalities was a truly special experience. We also discovered fascinating insights about horseback riding, including the biggest mistakes beginners often make, something that made us appreciate the skill and connection even more.
We then visited the estate’s garden, where we picked locally grown fruits and vegetables. The strawberries were simply unforgettable. Fresh, sweet, and bursting with flavor, the kind you rarely find anymore.
Another hidden gem at Posestvo Pule is the small museum, where you can learn about the history of the family Anderlič that has traditionally owned and developed the estate. It adds depth and meaning to the entire experience, showing how tradition, passion, and vision shaped what Posestvo Pule is today.
On our second evening, the sunset was simply unbelievable. The sky transformed into warm shades of gold, pink, and deep orange, and no photograph could truly capture how breathtaking it looked in person. It was one of those moments that makes you pause, stay silent for a second, and just take it all in.
Our day ended in the best possible way, with a four-course dinner and wine tasting at the restaurant. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, paired beautifully with wine, and served in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
Looking back, our stay at Posestvo Pule felt perfectly balanced. Relaxation, activities, nature, comfort, and exceptional hospitality all came together seamlessly. It’s the kind of place that allows you to disconnect from everyday life while reconnecting with what truly matters.
We left knowing one thing for sure: we will return. Posestvo Pule is not just a destination, it’s an experience that stays with you. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a countryside retreat, or simply a place where time slows down, this estate absolutely belongs on your bucket list.
